Hello,
PHP-Nuke 8.0
ATLite .87
Custom theme
I have turned on the Head Content in Extras, but when I put different head
content in for a custom page, the default head content is displayed when
the page is viewed.
For example, the default is "Title", but when I edit the Downloads page to
be "Title - Downloads", the Downloads page title is still displayed as
"Title".
Any ideas?
Thanks

I figured it out.
I was having trouble with double center block after upgrading from .85 to
.87, so without checking here, I was able to resolve it quickly by using
the old .85 autotheme.php.
That must have been what was preventing me from changing the titles,
because once I put the .87 version back in, it worked.
I then found the answer to the double center block on here and resolved
that as well now too.
However...while having the trouble with the Head Content, I got around it
by editing the HTML401_Transitional as noted in a different post.
I don't know if that has anything to do with it, because I have since
completely deleted all of the AutoTheme files and re-uploaded them, however
when I go to edit the Head Content of some of the pages that I tried to
edit when I was having the problem, the info is still there as if it is
cached somewhere.
The titles now change, but the description and keywords do not. Seems like
the old theme default is stuck somewhere, which is blank now or it's
grabbing that info from somewhere else now.
I tried switching themes, but that didn't help.
What could that be?
Thanks again!

Head content settings are in the theme.cfg file for the theme you are
using.
The only place that it may be cached is in the _compile/ dir so make sure
it's writable.

_compile is 777
removed theme.cfg and uploaded a fresh one.
When I go to the custom pages head content editable area, the info isn't
there any more, but the source of the page is still showing the old default
description and keywords? |

Nevermind...
I somehow managed to overwrite my clean copy of HTML401_Transitional.
This stuff can drive ya nuts!
On a side note, is there somewhere that explains the different features of
the different AutoThemes?
I would like to have the caching feature but don't want to get the
commercial version, just for that alone.
Also, couldn't find a difference between the 2 lower versions.
Thanks! |

The main differences between AT-Lite and the commercial AutoTheme are the
full page caching and the online HTML editor in the admin, though I plan to
add more features to the next version.
I'm not sure what you mean by the 2 lower versions.

I meant the Personal and Organizational as the 2 lower versions because the
only one that said it was for Commercial was the Professional.
By your question, let me see if I understand correctly...
Commercial "version" means any purchased version?
Caching is available in any of the purchased versions?
Can I upgrade to a purchased version without starting from scratch and
losing customization?
Edit....I just read the FAQs. All questions answered so far.
