I am running PostNuke .0762 with AT and purchased a theme
I tried to set the theme to default and and hit the save button. I then get the error below.
If I go to the site fresh I get teh start page and can login. I can access all the other pages and still get the error below when trying to access the admin page.

Please any help or ideas?
Thanks
Mike

You get the error going to the PostNuke admin page or AutoTheme admin page?

Just wanted to let you know that I too am experiencing a similar issue. After setting the permissions to the files mentioned in the install.txt file distributed with AT Lite .87, I still get the "Internal Server Error" page whenever I try to do almost anything in the PostNuke Administration portion of the PostNuke CMS. I've changed to a different AT theme (even the one included with AT Lite: "/themes/AutoTheme"), and I still have the same problems. I've also tried removing it through the PostNuke Modules section, followed by the removal of the AutoTheme/AutoPrint folders from /modules and /themes.

Any suggestions for what else I can try? It works fine on my Win2003 box, but not on this Linux one.

I'm thinking that you may have replaced a PostNuke file with an AutoTheme file. AutoTheme doesn't replace any files, so it should not cause any issues with the Admin outside of AutoTheme.

Hmm. Well, I'll try another fresh install of PostNuke, followed by a reinstallation of AT-Lite and I'll post my results here. But so far, after some messing with it I was able to get most of the admin modules to work. The only one that doesn't seem to work at all would be the Blocks editor module.

The curious thing here is that it still works fine when I'm not using an AutoTheme theme. The Xanthia themes that are distributed with PostNuke work fine, as does the ExtraLite one it also comes with.

Though, I still can't figure out why it would work beautifully on a Windows2k3 server, but give me problems on a Linux box, even when I did a straight FTP upload of the entire file/folder tree from the Win2k3 box. That's what make me think that the permissions might have been wrong, but I edited every one listed in the installer.

Any solution yet? I have the same issue. I have reinstalled AT everything is fine until I go to the admin panels.

This works!
index.php?module=Modules&type=admin

But, this doesn't.
index.php?module=Administration&type=admin&func=adminpanel&c id=1

Any ideas?

don't suppose you could give a run down of your win2k3 install, as I'm having trouble configuring any autothemes with my win2k3 box. I receive a cgi error when I try to configure, I can view without a problem. Cheers if you can.

I have enabled DEBUG MODE, and I still got the Internal Server Error 500 on the admin panels. Does debug mode write to the error log? Has any found a solution to the admin error problem?

I went ahead and did a clean install of the latest download from postnuke (PostNuke-0.762) and installed the latest AT (atlite_87_pn). I still get the "500 Internal Server Error" error on the "System Panel" and "Content Panel". This time I can hit refresh and the page will load. This does generate a Core Dump (10 MB) file on the server. This is on a hosted environment which have no control the version of PHP, which happens to be PHP Version 5.0.4

Does this help?

Thanks!

A few more informations about the server and php modules?

Is your server using phpSuexec?

if not try to create a .htaccess with the following php commands:
quote:

php_flag register_globals Off
php_flag register_argc_argv Off
php_flag magic_quotes_gpc On
php_flag magic_quotes_runtime Off
php_flag magic_quotes_sybase Off
php_flag display_errors On
php_flag safe_mode On

if you have phpSuecex on your server, you don't need to chmod any folder and can't use a .htaccess

in this case you need to create a php.ini file with the following commands and place it to in any module folder you want to use:

quote:
php_flag register_globals = Off
php_flag register_argc_argv = Off
php_flag magic_quotes_gpc = On
php_flag magic_quotes_runtime = Off
php_flag magic_quotes_sybase = Off
php_flag display_errors = On
php_flag safe_mode = On

The development stage for php 5 is not yet very stable and also has some security issues.
