Now I am going through the manual and just trying to take the auto theme concepts down and understand what is going on.

I got to the Administration Section and it says:
"After successfully installing AutoTheme, enter your CMS Administration area and click on the AutoTheme link or icon. You will then be presented with the main AutoTheme administration screen."

I am logged in as the administrator and go to the administration link, but can not find an autotheme link besides the one's that take me to this site. I can not find the autotheme link that presents me with teh autotheme administration page.

Did you initialize and activate it in Modules admin?
Be sure to hit Regenerate so it shows up.

So, before you get to the Administration section, there is an Installation section that says "After installing, go to your CMS Administration, Modules, and follow the instructions for your CMS for activating a module." In PostNuke, Mars is correct, go to Administration > Modules, Regenerate and then Initialize and Activate AutoTheme.

So now I regenerated the modules page. Now I do see AutoTheme under the modules page, but I do not see the AutoTheme "link or Icon" under the Administration page of my site.

As your manual states:

After successfully installing AutoTheme, enter your CMS Administration area and click on the AutoTheme link or icon. You will then be presented with the main AutoTheme administration screen.

However, When I go to the "3rd Party" link there is a module for AutoTheme. When I open that it does not seem to have all the same features that are explained in manual. For instance the "AutoTheme > General" page, where do I get to that. What am I missing here?

Yes, as I stated in my previous post I am looking under 3rd party module.

When I open that it does not seem to have all the same features that are explained in manual. For instance the "AutoTheme > General" page, where do I get to that. What am I missing here?

The menu has just been restructured since the manual was written. 'General' has become "Page Defaults' and 'Custom Modules' has become 'Custom Pages'. Also, some of the menu items have been moved under the specific theme configuration.

Well in that case I am not seeing "Page Defaults" or "Custom Pages". Yes I am looking under third party. It is frustrating to try to learn this software after spending the money on it when the documentation does not even follow the product that was bought. How is one suppose to learn the value of AutoTheme?

I am sure AT has value, I would not have bought it if I thought otherwise, but I am now a bit frustrated with the whole process.

Correct me if I'm wrong. You got to Administration > 3rd Party, you see an AutoTheme Link or Icon. You click that and then select Themes and you see a list of themes. You click configure next to one of those and in the menu items you don't see "Page Defaults" or "Custom Modules"?

Here is the process I go through:

1. Go to bgchemical.com
2. Click administration
3. Go to 3rd Party
4. Click the AT logo

Then I do not see what you are calling "Themes" so everything after that I am not seeing.

Correction, after I do step 4 I found that if I click AT_Themes I do see AutoPrint and AutoTheme and I can configure those. So this is where i can do color changes and all that jazz?

Yes. If you are seeing AT_THEMES, then that means that your language is not set to English and you haven't installed the translations for your langauage (if they are available).

When you enter the AutoTheme administration, it should look almost identical, to this: http://www.spidean.com/modules/AutoTheme/docs/at17_user_gui de_eng.html#_Toc80948625

So how do I get it to look like your example?

You must have corrupted files when you uploaded. You might try uploading them again. If you see other administration in English, then that means that your AutoTheme language files are corrupted.

Shawn,

Please, Please , Please help me out here man. You did the uploading when and got me to this point. Now that I have corrupted files I have to reupload. Can you uninstall and reinstall it for me so that I can start working on configuration. I just want to get this going. I hope that you can understand my frustration on this matter.

I just feel that I am just spinning my wheels. I spent 3 days trying to find particular items on my install and now come to find out my upload was corrupted so we have to start from scratch. If you want I can discuss this over the phone or however we need to handle it.

I Just uploaded AutoTheme and all is working. I'm not sure what caused it but I would suspect your FTP program. It is odd, in several instances, the contents of fileA.php should have been in fileB.php and vice versa.

I use Unix/Linux, but as I remember, CuteFTP is a good one.
