I am running post nuke on my site bgchemical.com. I am still running the
Xanthia engine. Now I am in the mode of looking for theme templates to use
for our site. I did find a Xanthia theme from xanthiathemes.com and bought
it but it did not come with the PSD files.
I have now started to figure out that there are all kinds of themes out
there you just have to have the right theme engine, I guess..?? So if you
are running Xanthia you need Xanthia based themes. So now I am wondering
what the advantages are of installing Auto Theme? Would I be able to use
templates for PHPNuke, MD Pro, and then whatever else there are out
there?
I guess my question is if I do get Auto Theme what themes can I use and
will I loose the potential robustness that I hope my site will have in the
future due to the PHP backend? I have read the FAQ but need some additional
information before moving forward on this. |

AutoTheme runs any AutoTheme. They are not specific to the CMS. You can
run any theme that says that it is an AutoTheme and there are many hundreds
if not more, commercial and free themes.
The main advantages of AutoTheme: there are lots of themes available, all
of the top theme designers use it (most), it's been around for years and is
stable. Plus, AutoTheme has many Extras (plugins) that do everything from
displaying certain themes on certain dates or times, to automatically using
images from your theme in module pages etc...
As for "will I loose the potential robustness that I hope my site will have
in the future due to the PHP", I don't really understand the question.
Thanks!

Thanks Shawn, that last part I really did not understand the question when
I asked it. So it sounds like to me that I probably should pony up and buy
auto theme.
What about support when you buy the product? Do you get the same support
that you would get if you just used the lite version? Is the only support
for AT in the forums or is there some other support that I am not seeing? |

Support is in the forum. It gets priority over the free one and I will
always resolve the issue, especially bugs. Also, if it is a hard issue I
am available via email and I will even connect to your server and
troubleshoot/install/fix.
I am toying with the idea of an IM support also.
Thanks!

Well thanks Shawn, I am sure that I will be needing the support. I am
very green, but think by using AT will be able to get a quality website up
in a shorter amount of time. So I thank yall. |
