In the last weeks Google has wiped out OnlineTV.com my domain. After being on the Internet since 1996, longer than google, and heavily listed there to zip is a mind boggling experieince I am going through right now.

The whole story is on my site CLICK HERE in the "Google Wipes out OnlineTV" you can read there to save space. We are not sure, but as the US trademark holder and owner since 1994 of the domain we are not amused.

Has anyone had similar experience? Can you help by reading this and complaining to google? It has cost a lot of traffic.

Thanks,

Here's a thought. Instead of making ambiguous accusations "Google has wiped out OnlineTV.com my domain" and more defined ones "I woke up today to find some kind of strange retribution from Google" (retribution for what?) and complaining about being dropped by their search engine, why not contact them directly and find out what the reason is for your site being dropped?

I'm sure not going to complain to Google on your behalf when you haven't even made the effort to contact them to ascertain the reason why your site was dropped. It could be nothing more than an error in occasionally changing logarithms, especailly since you have a dynamically generated site.

Do it calmly and with civility and don't whine about it. Present the same facts you have told us only in a dignified manner.

Your problem may be one of your own creation. Case in point: when one goes to onlinetv.com, one is redirected in several seconds to http://www.sedoparking.com/onlinetv.com/ where one sees the message:

onlinetv.com
This domain may be for sale by its owner

You make assumptions that are incorrect.

The main url has done that for years, all my sites do that. A search for "onlinetv.com" should show that link and that it is for sale. Look at msn as the article said and you will see how it was and that it worked quite well. People find the main site with no problem from there. And it was the same at google until a week ago (maybe a bit more now).

All sites are for sale. Show me a site, and I will show you one for sale. I am sure this one is for sale at the right price. Nothing has changed on the sites this year other than the addition of political stories in the last weeks. The redirect has been there since 1999. The domain is, has and always will be for sale. All of them are, buydomains.onlinetv.com is another working site that is bumped from the urls just to sell them.

An "ambiguous accusations" ?? OnlineTV.com has been wiped off of google, nothing ambiguous in my statement. Contacting them direct is impossible other than a forum where I have been. I already tried everything before I wrote about it. And it is almost the second week now before I approach other site owners. I am even writing a paper letter to them. The article is now published on 100's of blogs and sites and with a title like that will garner the attention I want for the problem attendant.

I never asked in that article to complain for me, but complain that a search for onlinetv.com gives nada. It is the only forms they offer. Do you have some secret email or contact that no one else does?

I was a bit miffed at your message. Made me feel bad. I dont want to do the same to you. I would never be here before I had made every effort myself already. I did not go and write the article first and then go try and find out why. I really did all I could before I went out asking aroudn.

You, are a bit like me before this happened. You think there is actually a way to communicate wtih google. I would give money to know how to email direct to them or get them to hear or answer or anything. Frustration is the word now. Please trust this is not something I am doing for sport. I feel bad enough to have to ask here if anyone had similar things happen. I really could use that information or help. Other than that, there is nothing to do but hope many people tell google in the form, that when they search for onlinetv.com there is nothing. Remember OnlineTV has been on their searches since their first day. We have been here since March 1996.

No I don't.

All sites are for sale.
Baloney. YOU have made a false assumption.
quote:

Show me a site, and I will show you one for sale.
My main site for one.

Yes there is, What you said was "Google has wiped out OnlineTV.com my domain" which is not only ambiguous but misleading. Google did nothing to your domain. An unambiguous statement would be "Google dropped my site from their index".

Contacting them direct is impossible other than a forum where I have been. I already tried everything before I wrote about it.
It is neither impossible nor did you try everything. In less than a minute I found their address and telephone number by looking on their site. On the same page I found the address and phone numbers of several sales offices and headquarters in other countries. However, I imagine that only the U.S. headquarters will be the one you'll need to contact. Here is the pertinent data:

Google Headquarters
1600 Amphitheatre Parkway
Mountain View, CA 94043
phone: 650-253-0000
fax: 650-253-0001

Driving directions are available also.

There is also a big logistical problem with your request. If Google were as impossible to contact as you claim, just where are people supposed to complain to on your behalf?

quote:
Do you have some secret email or contact that no one else does?
No secret, just functional eyes and brain and knowing how to use them, particularly the latter and perhaps a dash of imagination.

quote:
I would give money to know how to email direct to them or get them to hear or answer or anything.
How about just letting us know here what the reason was for your site deletion from their index once you hear from them (assuming they give you a definite reason)?

That phone number will not get you to a search engine anybody. You can write, you can wait. Of course, thanks for looking up the blatantly obvious and posting such here with such flair, It was, of course, already known, tried and proved useless, but your efforts are thanked anyway just for the energy you expended. Perhaps if you called and actually got through to a search engine person for a problem, that might show something.

You have a site you would not sell for any price and I have a third teat on my back, and have never worked for money.

stop and focus:

The actual saga is being written up on the http://onlinetv.blogspot.com blog and is quite interersting to see all the strange people and things that pop up while I look for these reasons. There are other stories there, as this is not a big thing for me, but it is there I think as second or third down now. IT will get its own section because I think there are a lot of webstie owners who would benefit from it when finished.

You would be better served readin the blog.

Even better, to go see the results as they were, and then do the searches today. They have all changed and it is interesting to see how G**gle do a dance to show you where your errors are. I was very lucky a college kid took a look at my issues and resolved them all in less than an hour while experts at all the sites listed pontificated and disagreed with each other giving me different answers and plenty of flack, just like yours. Maybe you have some new friends to make there?

In the meantime I found so many more things to do to get around g**gle, and in the end I am better off and have solidified old relationships and made new ones as well as learned a lot about SEO, SERPS and better html. So even with wise guys trying it on, it is always worth the effort to persevere in the forums. G**Gle has a lot of problems and this is only one off the tip of th eiceberg. Do you actually work for them? It is like some personal offence here.

Also, if you dont like my writing style stop reading.
