hi...im probably being a moron, but i am using php nuke and i got the auto themes .8 lite installed fine but i was sort of under the impression that the php nuke blocks i had in palce already would translate into the new one, and obviously they dont, because all my new blocks are totally empty, and none of what i did is showing up.

my forums are gone, everything is gone...

i read parts and scanned through the manual, and it looks like a crapload of code to write copy and paste, which is really not the point of why i went with php nuke, or auto themes.

am i going to seriously need to recode every oen of my blocks and my entirewebsite in order to keep this theme? cause if that's the case, thanks but no thanks...i ll find a theme that works with what i've alraedy done. did i waste 80 hrs of work only to spend 100 more copying and pasting freaking code?

I have no idea what you are talking about.

Slow down and give it another try and we'll venture an answer.

how do you not understand what i am talking about?

i m running php nuke... php nuke uses things called 'blocks' that make up most of any given php page. this site gave me the impression that it had the themes shown available in different versions of php (postnuke, php nuke, etc etc). however,

it is made up entirely of html and style sheets...what a ripoff. if i wanted freakin html and style sheets, i would have written freaking html pages. but i *didnt*

i installed the .8 lite, and put my theme in the themes folder and the headershowed up with blank boxes where the images were supposed to be.

which btw, why in the hell did the page author not already put the image path to the images inside the html code itsself as opposed to doing '<---imagepath--->' . i dont understand, imho, thats just sloppy coding...but that is not why i am peeved.

my main problem is this.

after i got done spending 20 minutes searching for image paths, now the current blocks (technically not blocks, cause the damn pages are html and not php, which is probably wehy they arent showing up) on my homepage not only look nothing like the preview jpg they show you in the shopping cart, they are totally empty.

php nuke themes are made to be interchangeable, so, for example i can write a bunch of forum posts, change the theme, and the posts will all be there, possibly reformatted a ibt or a different look, but they'll be there.

everything is gone. forums, menus, donations module, ventrilo module, total hits module, all my news, my faq, everything, and the only ways i could find to add blocks were to literally go in and copy and paste php nuke code (waste of time after your page says theyre php nuke pages, and the sql database is where my info is stored anyways, so...) either in the pages themselves or via the menu in the autothemes button.

theyre in the blocks list, but they arent showing up, so as far as im concerned, theyre completely useless, and if you're going to tell me to copy and paste a shitload of code from one php page to another html page, you have another thing coming.

so please explain to me why your webpage says one thing, then i go install it and its something completely different than the advertising. not even close.

if i knew it was going to be this much work, i could have gotten a FREE theme, or paid SOMEONE ELSE money to get a theme that would be working without all this frustration.

and the colors on the individual pages are set to the spidean default...it makes no sense whatsoever that the colors wouldnt be the colors of the default theme.

like i siad, if im missing something, then please let me know, because i have this feeling in the pit of my stomach that i just got ripped off.

It would help to display the theme or even the name of the theme.

I think the main problem is that you didn't read anything about what AutoTheme is or what it does. It's an HTML Theme System for PHP-Nuke, PostNuke, MD-Pro, osC, etc...

One of the main benefits is that the themes are HTML. Easy to change for anyone. If you install AutoTheme according to the install instructions then your site displays just as it should, all blocks, modules, etc... using the new theme. The image-path is there so that you don't have to put the path in the theme, its called a variable. You can rename your theme and it still works.

One last comment, if your running PHP5 then AT-Lite won't work. New version out soon.
