Hi,
1- I'd like to know what the differences are between at lite 0.8 and at
1.7.
2- is at lite 0.8 more advanced than at 1.7?
3- is at 1.7 now finished (not beta anymore)
4- I have purchased and used at 1.7 several months ago (until may), is at
1.7 updated after that date?
5- will at 1.7 be updated and if so what will be the new features?
6- if so will it be free for purchasers of at 1.0?
thanks a lot for your answers.

At lite .8 is as the name says a lite Version and it's free. It's the
updated Version of AT lite 0.7
As you don't have to pay for it, it wouldn't be fair if the AT 1.0 and 1.7
should be less advanced.
The AT lite.8 module is a basic Autotheme Module to get your Autothemes
running, while the full Versions have a lot of extra features.
On 19th May Shawn posted a Final Beta for AT 1.7 in the download section.
As a ex purchaser of Autotheme 1.0 you should be able to access this area
and download it.
This Version got a lot of new features. Especially under the Extras
Command.
To get your questions always in time answered I would suggest you subscibe
to the Newsletter from this webpage.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
I asked this question because of a quick scan of the documentation of
at-lite 0.8, it seemed to me that it had almost the same functionality as
at-pro 1.7.
I didn't knew there was a newletter? where can I subscribe?
thanks! |

Documentations and description for Modules always sounds great. It's called
advertising. And sometimes when we get then one of this great advertised
Modules, we find out that they are more a pain in the ass then a help.
To subscibe to the Newsletter you can klick on the topleft of this Page in
the User Menu, the link "Profile" there is the subcription Box for the
Newsletter.

mazsalleh, if you take a look at the screenshots for atlite .8 you will see
the same interface that AT 1.7 has. So how do you figure it DOESN'T have
the same features? I have been using AT 1.7 since it was released, and as
far as I can tell .8 has all of the features of 1.7.

AutoTheme 1.7 contains an online HTML editor and provides full page caching
that increases site speed up to 10x. There are also some additional extras
for 1.7. I will release a bugfix for .81 then I will not update it until I
have a new 1.8 or 2.0 that will be the newest.
Also, I will update the screenshots for 1.7.
