They should just be in your regular themes folder. I don't know about the
images. Each theme is different. If you zip up the original theme and
send it to me I'll take a look.

Do I need to have the themes in any particular folder inside autotheme or
is it okay to have the themes in the normal theme folder at the top of my
public_html as none of the images in the theme are there when converted
other than banners in the blocks. do I need to do something?

Thank you so much. When you mentioned about that the paid theme has a
WYSWYG Editor. I wanted to know if I added a hack that is available that
allows the tiny mice graphic editor features which are turned off in nuke,
to turn on, will this cause problems do for autotheme or should I not
attempt to add such, in your opinion.
PLEASE NOTE
Anyone who is not sure about this product or if it is supported.
I have been so impressed with this service and fast responses received, as
well as support. Assistance has been quicker and more professional than any
other site or service I have used.
I have not tried the modification as yet but will add more feedback on it
once I use it. I will advise when the new theme is ready so you can view
the site when its done so you can see what a novice has been able to do or
not do.
thanks

This AutoConvert module will make a copy of any PHP-Nuke theme and then
convert it into an AutoTheme theme. These AutoTheme themes work on any
AutoTheme module on any supported platform.
You should do these conversions on a development/home machine so you can
test out the converted themes and modify them with an HTML editor, etc.
AutoTheme allows complete control of how to display the pages for every
module as well as many options for blocks.
The AutoConvert is here: http://www.spidean.com/index.php?name=Downloads&req=vie

I am using phpnuke 8. Will this also work for me to edit non autotheme
themes that I have purchased on the paid version too or just the lite, as I
will purchase the full version if it will work and the full version is easy
to use. Plus Its tax deductible. I will test it for you however my site
is not a good judge as I have had lots of customizations and when I install
the themes I have it gives you an option to choose which blocks and modules
you want to display. However the right block displays without needing to
touch it so I am hesitate to change it, although I am only doing it in
development and I can make a new copy if it messes up. Any advise on this
would be appreciated. Let me know when this is ready.
thanks

I have a decent working AutoConvert. Are you using PHP-Nuke or some
derivative?

It has full page caching which can speed up your site up to 10x. It also
has a WYSIWYG editor for creating or editing your templates. Plus it is
fully supported, where the AT-Lite version is best effort in the forums.
FYI... I'm almost done with the AutoConvert. You can test it out for
me.

The _cache/ dir is only in the commercial AutoTheme 1.77. I don't know why
it's in the docs.
I'm working on the AutoConvert right now.

Hi Shawn
Thank you for your very quick reply. From my post you can see I am a
novice trying to do what I can, but thats okay as I learn that way. The
file I meant that I could not find to change was this
* CHMOD 777 modules/AutoTheme/_cache/
I dont seem to have a _cache file at all and I have looked through all the
files and hidden files. could this be called something different in nuke
8. Also I have an unpatched version with a lot of customized hacks.
What you have suggested would be fantastic as I do have a theme that is 85%
perfect but I would need to go through the code to change things and learn
as I go along as I dont know anything more than basic html, but I am
patient...
thank you again and I await your reply.
kind regards
Helen

Hi,
There is no mention of cookies.php in the AutoTheme docs. I don't have any
idea what it is. The only files that need permission changes are
modules/AutoTheme/autotheme.cfg and the modules/AutoTheme/_compile
directory.
1. Yes, only AutoTheme developed themes can be modified with AutoTheme.
You can tell if they are AutoTheme themes by looking in the specific theme
folder where there is a theme.php. If there is also a theme.cfg file, then
it is almost certainly an AutoTheme theme.
2. If I understand correctly, then your structure is correct:
public_html/themes/nuketheme1
public_html/themes/nuketheme2
...etc...
But they may not be AutoTheme themes.
I have an AutoConvert module for PostNuke that converts old themes to
AutoTheme. Let me see if I can get it working with PHP-Nuke.
Thanks!

I installed auto theme but I could not find the cookies.php file to change
permissions to 777, I am using nuke 8 and such file is not viewable.
Autotheme has been activated in my admin panel but when I go to select a
theme to modify only the the default autotheme and printtheme are in the
drop down box.
What I want to ask is
1. can only themes developed specifically for automtheme be customized by
this module as I cannot find a modern theme for nuke all sites have the
same old themes that everyone has and I want something modern. I did
purchase 65 nuke themes and I want to customize one a little, not much but
I do not have php skills so thought this would be easier for simple colour
changes and adding a javascript navigation menu to the theme
2. If I can use these nuke themes wheich I got from ccentral.com then do I
have to install the themes in a different folder as the structure is
currently
public_html/themes/autotheme
public html/themes/printtheme
and all my themes are in
public_html/themes/all_themes_installed here
I want a theme that looks like www.cnet.com.au installed on my site and
thought I could configure one I bought as its close to this one
If you know a site that has developed very classy modern nuke themes then I
am happy to pay for one
thanks for your help
