I'll try... Let me know if you need more info.
AutoBlocks are block positions, just like Left, Right and Center. So you
can create blocks in the PN Blocks Admin and assign them to Left, Right,
Center or any AutoBlock position that you have created in the AutoTheme
admin.
So just like Left, Right and Center, you call the respective blocks in your
template with for example, <!-- [Area1-blocks] --> if you created an
AutoBlock position called Area1 and have assigned some blocks to it.
This is the same as using the <!-- [left-blocks] --> command in your
template. That command displays the blocks that you have assigned to the
Left position.
